Testimonials
Here is our Alumni
"I was part of the 4th Cohort at Hopewell, and that experience truly changed my life. I joined with very little knowledge, but through their baking and pastry program, I gained practical skills and confidence. Today, I proudly bake and sell cakes for birthdays, baby showers, and even weddings. What started as a simple class has become my source of income and joy. Hopewell didn’t just teach me how to bake—they gave me hope, purpose, and the ability to dream again."
— Hopewell Graduate, 4th Cohort
"Before joining Hopewell, I struggled to find a way to support myself. But through the Hairdressing and Beauty program, I discovered a skill I not only enjoy but can earn from. Today, I run my own small business offering home-to-home hairdressing services. I braid, style, and treat hair for women and children right in their homes, and my clients trust and appreciate my work. Hopewell gave me more than just a skill—they gave me confidence, independence, and a way to provide for my family with dignity."
— Hellen, Hopewell Graduate – Hairdressing Program
"As a mother, life in Gachororo hasn’t been easy. But joining Hopewell’s tailoring program in the 5th cohort gave me something I didn’t have before—hope. I came in not knowing how to even thread a needle, but now I can confidently make dresses, skirts, and even school uniforms. The trainers have been patient and kind, and I’ve found a community of women who encourage each other every day. As we approach graduation, my biggest prayer is to find support to start my own small business. I dream of owning a sewing machine and creating clothes that can help me provide for my son, Brian. No matter what lies ahead, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”
— Mama Brian, 5th Cohort Tailoring Student
